BRINGING THE NOISE TO SLOVENIA

2023.12.07 LJUBLANA_DAY_7-121

The Dead Daisies were last in Ljubljana just over a year ago with the Glenn Hughes fronted version of the band. There has been quite a transformation since then with the return of John Corabi and the addition of Michael Devin, and tonight Slovenia was in for a treat. Keeping the Daisies connections from early on, young Croatian stars Jelusik featuring Dino Jelusik who featured on vocals for some Daisies dates in 2022 warmed up the audience nicely, and with temperatures not far off zero, they needed that much needed boost. As the venue fell dark and a loud cheer was heard from the packed out crowd, Doug started the riff for ‘Resurrected’ and then The Dead Daisies hit the stage at a sprint and kept it going right through to the final chords of the Whitesnake classic ‘Slide It In’!

The band continues to repeat the high energy performance night after night on this tour and every date so far this year. They have completed a ten year run with an impressive back catalogue built up over six albums, but like John Corabi says, this is only the beginning, and you can be sure that there is more explosive music and performances waiting in the future. As the band fire out big numbers like ‘Dead and Gone’, ‘Midnight Moses’ and ‘Long Way to Go’ the crowd can’t get enough, and the level of the noise from the capacity crowd keeps getting louder! Once again, The Dead Daisies leave a European crowd demanding the band return sooner rather than later!
