BACK TO BERLIN

Germany has continued to have a love for The Dead Daisies over most of the bands life, and like many places across Europe this winter, the excitement and enthusiasm the band have received with the return of Corabi and a band that feels like it has been given a booster shot is very noticeable. Celebrating a Night of Rock, both Spike from the Quireboys and Swedish rockers Eclipse got the evening up and running to a great start before the familiar riff of ‘Resurrected’ rang out across the venue and Doug led the band into a marathon of big bombastic tunes.

As ever, John took control of the stage as he led the band through different eras of the band including songs from the last studio albums like ‘Born to Fly’ which he very much put his own distinctive mark on. With a powerful rhythm section made up of Brian Tichy and Michael Devin steering The Dead Daisies juggernaut throughout the night, David Lowys huge chords underpin everything that Doug and John throw over the top. Once again the band are triumphant and leave the Berlin audience wanting much more as they finish was a blistering rendition of ‘Slide it In’.
