Alex Ruffini was a tremendous photography talent. The Dead Daisies and individual members of the band would often be at the other end of the lense for this charismatic Italian who many of the touring rock musicians including Gene Simmons called their friend. He became an avid follower of the band and would often shoot Italian shows and individual band members when their tours passed through Italy.

The 50 year old Venice native passed away on the 18th June after a long fight with cancer and as soon as the news broke tributes poured in including those from John Corabi, Doug Aldrich and Deen Castronovo.

John summed up his passing and talent well, “R.I.P. my dear friend Alex!!! I know you’re in a much better place but we ALL miss you!!! Now you can photograph Hendrix, Lennon, Bonham, Mercury and the rest of the greats!!!
