ROCKIN’ IN THE HOUSE OF BLUES

2024.07.19 SAN_DIEGO_DAY_19-33

After a couple of days rest, the band were back, ready and charged up to hit California with a Rock N’ Roll hurricane! With three shows to go all in the Golden State, the House of Blues in San Diego was up first.

As with all shows on this tour, the first track to blast out of the speakers and open proceedings was the lead single from the forthcoming album ‘Light ‘Em Up’! From that point onwards, The Dead Daisies were like a storm, powerful, strong and full of surprises!

With a set packed with favourites like ‘Mexico’, ‘Long Way to Go’ and ‘Midnight Moses’ everyone inside the venue bar none were lifted up in the Daisies whirlwind! San Diego may be home to one of the biggest Navy bases in America, but tonight, the only guns firing were in the form of Doug Aldrich’s lead guitar and the crack from Tommy Clufetos’s snare drum.

With a blues album coming in the future, the House of Blues is a great place to do it homage, so a track from that album was aired to the audience tonight. Muddy Waters ‘I’m Ready’ was blasted from the stage complete with an incredible mouth organ solo by Michael Devin.

With two Californian gigs to go including the world famous Whisky-a-go-go, this has been another successful tour strengthening up a live show that most bands will find very hard to come close too, never mind beat. Now let’s head to the Whisky!!
