HARD ROCKING IN HAMBURG

Last year would see the band play a number of acoustic shows in Hard Rock Cafes around Europe. The concept worked so well that the band decided to do it all over again this year. After a return to Prague earlier in the tour, the band decided to come back to Hamburg and do a longer set packed with numbers including many from the new album.

The venue sits in the heart of Hamburg on the water front of the River Elbe and next to the St Pauli district, infamous for its red light district. Playing to a packed audience, the guys kicked off with ‘Angel in Your Eyes’ from the 2014 EP. ‘With You and I’, ‘Alright Now’ by Free and first single from the new album, ‘Long Way to Go’ all followed with John taking the opportunity to encourage the more sedate audience to ‘Make Some Noise’, a song absent this evening as it needs those crunchy guitars!

With the audience taking the lead from John, they started to get louder and jump and dance around to the band. New numbers introduced into the set tonight included Rod Stewarts ‘Maggie May’, Led Zeppelins ‘Ramble On’ and The Who’s ‘My Generation’ all taken from the band members own record collections.

Although this was a different kind of gig, the band still came across just as powerful as when they are charged up and firing out an electric set. The reactions from the crowds were spectacular and the signings afterwards were as busy as ever.

A well deserved group dinner served up by the Hard Rock was the final call of the evening before heading back to the hotel. Hamburg, once again you and your fans were stunning and the band look forward to returning soon.
