GOLD AT THE THE FINISHING LINE

2024.07.21 SACRAMENTO_DAY_22-57

The final night of the US Tour arrived and it was back to familiar territory, the Goldfield Trading Post in Roseville on the outskirts of Sacramento. A place where back in the old West they would be hunting for gold, but tonight the golden ticket was to see The Dead Daisies on the final night of their tour.

Like a gunfight at the OK Corral, the band charged the stage with a blistering start, firing into ‘Light ‘Em Up’. Like Jessie James and Billy the Kid in a massive shootout, Doug Aldrich and David Lowy using guitars as their weapons, hit the songs with grace and power while back up from Michael Devin and Tommy Clufetos was unwavering as they attacked ‘Rise Up’ and ‘Dead and Gone’, songs that would make great titles for any Western movie.

Then there is the one man who takes control of the whole venue every night, The Dead Daisies’ very own sheriff, Mr. John Corabi. He walks the stage like he owns it, and controls the audience with every word and action. They sing for him, they punch the air for him, they help create an atmosphere that makes you want to be part of this moment.

The band is on fire! They have had a whole tour to play these songs and every one of them sounds way better than the recording because of the pure, raw energy that is flowing through every bone of every member of the Daisies tonight and bursting out of their instruments!

As the the finishing line is crossed after an encore that seemed to last well into the night, the band slipped away from the stage and into the Californian desert until they are set to re-emerge in the UK. England, Scotland and Wales, you are going to be LIT UP this September!
