Like a New York summer, things began to heat up once more in The Dead Daisies camp this week. Members of the band arrived in New York City to begin rehearsals and promotion for the US stint of the Revolución tour, this time as guests of rock legends David Coverdale and Whitesnake.
Rehearsals begin this weekend as the band prepare for the opening show on Monday evening in Westbury, New York. Brian Tichy is back behind the drum kit for this tour, joining up with Marco, David, John, Dizzy and Richard.
As with all tours, promotion work keeps the guys busy. On Friday John, Marco and Brian paid a visit to Brian’s hometown radio station WDHA in New Jersey to talk about the new album and play some unplugged music for listeners of Terrie Carr’s Rock N’ Ruff radio show. The visit also had the distinction of being the band’s first ever Periscope live broadcast.
“Got to NY and the first thing was a visit to WDHA in NJ with our good friend TERRIE CARR! JOHN C., BRIAN T. and myself had a cool visit, interview and acoustic set with her and crew… thank you TERRIE and boys, a great time was had!!!! Then off to a taped interview and acoustic set at NIGHTS WITH ALICE COOPER in the city, a great way to start!! Getting the word out about the NEW RELEASE!!, REVOLUCION and tour with WHITESNAKE starting this MONDAY JULY 27th at the THEATER AT WESTBURY, NEW YORK? Are you ready for us ? See ya then!!!!!” – Marco
After the visit to WDHA the guys headed back to Manhattan to visit United Stations Radio Network to tape a video segment for the world syndicated radio show ‘Nights with Alice Cooper’. Stay tuned for more details.
