GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNING!

The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan went off with a bang last night as The Dead Daisies hit the stage. From the first power chord of ‘Light ‘Em Up’ through to the swirling guitars of ‘Helter Skelter’ on the exit, it was a non-stop blast!

With motorbikes hanging off the wall and memorabilia of some of the biggest names to grace this venue’s stage since it opened over 20 years ago, the band were happy to make a return to one of their favourite stops of their US tour.

Like the loudest powered bike revving up its engine, with the smell of grease, sweat and oil, The Dead Daisies are a well-oiled machine, tight, loud and deadly precise with Tommy Clufetos and Michael Devin providing the rhythm of the wheels on the bike, holding you firm to the road against the elements with gentle sways in the wind as they weave on their journey but in full control, and the electric guitars of David Lowy and Doug Aldrich like a double fuel injection providing the screaming power. With that machine flying high, John Corabi rides it like a king!

Every song is like a biker’s anthem whether it’s ‘Born To Fly’ or ‘Long Way To Go’! You can imagine being out on the open road with every song blasting in your ears as your soundtrack to life, and that’s how it felt for this audience. As with every show, they love the band so much they would have them play every night, and can’t wait for them to drive back into town again! Like a motorcycle rally, this crowd is loud! If 10 is the maximum volume, then it really was pushed to eleven and beyond!
