As The Dead Daisies work their way across the German countryside travelling along the autobahns, their next stop is Munich in the Bavarian region. Famous for top European football club Bayern Munich, home of BMW motor cars and plenty of brands of beer, the band were returning to this city to play the Technikum.
Reb Beach is very much a technical guitar virtuoso. You can see it in his style as he hits the notes on the fretboard which compliments the pure thunderous attacking chops of David Lowy, and simple and solid playing of Michael and Tommy.
As the band hit the stage tonight, once again there was a near capacity crowd rammed into the venue situated in an industrial area of the city. They immediately connected with the band and spent most of the night singing all the songs along with Corabi.
Even though the fans know all the words to all the Daisies songs, the band still like to throw a few well known covers like ‘Fortunate Son’ by Creedence and ‘Helter Skelter’ by the Beatles into the mix along with songs that have so much Daisies DNA within them, you would be forgiven to think they were originals. Songs like Sensational Alex Harvey Band’s ‘Midnight Moses’ and top Aussie Rockers Angels song ’Take A Long Line’.
The band took a final bow for performing another mind blowing evening of great music and headed for the exit. Next up they spend Friday night rocking another crazy crowd, returning to the Netherlands for a show in Dordrecht.
