SOLID AS STEEL

In the part of England known as the Black Country, cities like Birmingham and surrounding areas like Wolverhampton and Aston produced some of the biggest Rock bands in the world. Judas Priest, Slade and of course Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne as well as Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin among others.

Tonight, the band were playing at KK Steel Mill, named after former Judas Priest guitarist and legend KK Downing.

The show was sold out showing how much both the band and this kind of music is loved in this part of the world. Only a few weeks ago, Black Sabbath and Ozzy filled a stadium with dedicated rock fans just down the road and our very own drummer Tommy Clufetos was a big part of that show.

The audience tonight were loud and enthusiastic and were quick enough to sing a long every time Corabi asked them to. The guitars were cranked up and songs like ‘Bustle and Flow’, ‘Take a long Line’ and ‘Last Time I Saw the Sun’ blasted out like a thunderstorm. Tommy hit the drums like they were attacking him and Michael with his legs apart and his hair and beard flowing looked like the ultimate Rockstar.

As the final notes on ‘Helter Skelter’ faded away, the packed out crowd stayed to cheer on their musical heroes for the evening before heading into the late Saturday night on the look out for the nearest pub. Next up is a trip to the land of the dragon when they play Cardiff in Wales on Tuesday.
