SELLING OUT TO ROCK OUT

2025.08.21 HOLMFIRTH-99

The final headline show of the tour was in a venue The Dead Daisies have played a number of times over the years, and every time it sells out. The quiet Yorkshire town of Holmfirth sits between Manchester and Sheffield (home of Def Leppard), but when the Daisies hit town, it’s anything but quiet.

The crowds are out early making sure they land their place at the barrier in front of the stage well before the support bands start their set.

As The Dead Daisies hit the stage, the audience made as big a noise with a massive cheer as the band playing the opening song! Knowing this will be the last headline show until the next tour, every member of the band is out to enjoy the moment.

Doug, who has been with the band since 2016 and has carved a place in the fans hearts is playing his gold top Les Paul like it is physically attached to him, there is no way that you would prise it out of his grasp. The only constant member since The Dead Daisies inception, guitarist David Lowy is by his side during a lot of the show taking up his rock stance with legs apart and guitar hung low and cool. Michael Devin and Tommy Clufetos, like every night on this tour are the solid construction crew, putting down a foundation so the guitar and vocals can soar. That just leaves the one and only Mr John Corabi, or Crabby as we affectionately like to call him. Although there have been other vocalists throughout the band’s last twelve plus years of playing live, Crabby is the one that has stamped his mark truly on the music, his return in 2023 being a huge moment for both band and fans.

With the set rocked out to the sold out venue, there was always time for a few encores. Tonight ‘Resurrected’ and ‘Helter Skelter’ helped wrap up another amazing live performance. Next up, the final show of the tour at the sold out Stonedead festival.
