ROCKING THE BIG APPLE

New York is the city that never sleeps. Regardless of the time, day or night, the hustle and bustle of Manhattan is going on all around. The rhythm of the city is fast and furious, so The Dead Daisies work well within its limits. Sydney, Australia may have become the birthplace of the band, but New York is the adopted home.

Kicking off the latest visit to the Big Apple, The Dead Daisies opened their performances for the day at Guitar Center where in acoustic Daisyland mode they entertained a packed out store with some rare insights to songs stripped back as well as a funny story or two from John Corabi.

Returning to the Highline Ballroom after last years off the wall performance, the band were fired up and raring to hit the stage with another high octane show. The packed out audience were treated to opening bands Honor Among Thieves and Hookers and Blow before Doug, John, Marco, David and Deen took to the stage.

Tracks like ‘Mexico’, ‘You and I’ and ‘Dead and Gone’ exploded off the stage and out the speakers in what was a loud, high energy concert. The band know how to crank it up and get the best reaction from even the hardest crowds, and New York audiences are not always the easiest to win over, but win over they did. As the final chords rang out, the Highline crowd went home very happy.

Next up, the band head to Pittsburgh.
