ROCKIN IN PADOVA

Padova is the destination for show number four on this tour. Situated 25 miles west from the world’s most famous waterlogged city, Venice, the city of Padova or Padua as it is known locally, sits on the river Bacchiglione and is the economic hub of the area covering 2.6 million people.

This is the second and final show in Italy for this tour and it’s at a venue with the very simple name of what it actually is, Hall. The crowds start to fill up the venue as support band The Treatment are performing, making sure they have their place as close to the front as possible when the Daisies hit the stage.

As soon as the lights go down, you can feel the excitement and electric atmosphere in the air. The guitar chords to ‘Long Way to Go’ ring out loudly and before you have time to catch your breath, the band are in full assault mode. Once the engine of the rock band is fully revved up, the man at the front of this Rock n’ Roll machine John Corabi takes us on a two hour ride through an unforgettable night of anthems, ballads and classics.

David Lowy pins down the riffs as Doug Aldrich creates his own signature sound above it while the engine room of Michael Devins bass and the drums of Tommy Clufetos echo around the venue.

At the end of the night, the encores could have gone non stop as the fans kept shouting for more, but once The Beatles classic ‘Helter Skelter’ comes to an explosive finish, the band exits the stage and the lights go up. Now it’s time to take a pause for a couple of days before heading to Germany.
