The Dead Daisies have had a not so secret love affair with the UK and Ireland since they first played here back in 2013. British Rock fans were the first to really take the band to their heart and the same loyal fans have turned up to support every tour. Tonight at the Limelight in Belfast it was no different.
As the lights went down, the intro tape blasted and five silhouettes walked on stage, they were greeted by a huge roar as the notes for ‘Long Way To Go’ rang out. Both the crowd and band raced off the starting block and deep into a night fuelled with big songs, big chords, big riffs and even bigger cheers from the Belfast faithful.
David, Doug, Michael and the returning Tommy could not wait to dust off their instruments and get right back into playing live. The master of ceremonies and leading light John Corabi was delighted to get back on stage where he belongs and lead the proceedings for another great live show by The Dead Daisies.
With big numbers like ‘Rise Up’ and ‘Dead and Gone’ starting up the show like a volcano erupting to slipping into the Blues with ‘Black Betty’ and ‘Going Down’ from the latest album ‘Looking’ For Trouble’ there was no stopping this Rock juggernaut! The band cruised through night one of this whistle stop tour of the UK. Next up they head for the land of the kilt, haggis and Nessie! Edinburgh, Scotland we are coming for you!
