LONDON CALLING

2025.08.20 LONDON-93

Tonight it was the turn of the capital! The big smoke, London. The Islington Assembly Hall was the latest venue to have The Dead Daisies explosive Rock rip across its stage.

With a near packed out venue by the time ‘Rock and Roll’ started pumping out the PA, more and more fans poured into the hall. The lights beamed across the stage as David Lowy started the familiar chimes of ‘Long Way to Go’ on his guitar and then Doug, Michael and Tommy joined in to take it to the next level.

Song after song, tune after tune, there was no stopping the full force of the band as they inflicted huge choruses repeatedly to the crowd. ‘Dead and Gone’, ‘I’m Gonna Ride’ and the infectious cover of ‘Black Betty’ from the new Blues album were a statement to that fact!

David Lowy even had his moment in the spotlight when he sang a cover of George Thorogoods ‘Get a Haircut’ while Corabi took a breather. The band introductions were a highlight as each member was allowed to delve into their own little piece of music history with bands like Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Judas Priest featuring.

Although this tour is short, it’s very sweet with the richness of packed out crowds, many who have followed the band since 2013 and 14. After another great show, it’s time to relax before the final headline show on Thursday where the band plays to a sold out Holmfirth.
