Today we give you the opportunity to listen to “Highway Star” (live) as featured on our up and coming covers album ‘Locked and Loaded’.

The song was originally released by Deep Purple on “Machine Head“ in 1972. This is another favourite band among the members of The Dead Daisies. It doesn’t get much more Classic Rock than this! ‘Highway Star’ was just one in a huge collection of hits that were written and recorded by Purple, others included ‘Smoke on the Water’ and ‘Hush’.

The Daisies started jamming this tune during the “Live & Louder World Tour“ and recorded it live in Zagreb. You guys were loud that night, and if you were there, you probably can hear yourself screaming. If you weren’t, just scream along at home! “Highway Star“ is on Locked And Loaded for your rocking pleasure!!
