In the heart of America lies one of the biggest homes in the world to not just Country music but all kinds of music. Nashville is called Music City for a reason. With residents that include David Bryan from Bon Jovi, Vince Neil from Motley Crue and our very own John Corabi among many others, it is easy to see that the Rockstars are making as big an impact as the Country stars.
Basement East has been on the map for nearly ten years and has become a favourite stop for The Dead Daisies on a number of tours. The owners have been working hard to establish it as a great Rock N’ Roll venue and it’s working.
And as if to underline that, the opening chords from the signature tune of this tour ‘Light ‘Em Up’ does a solid job in underlining how Rock N’ Roll this place has become.
With so many musicians in the crowd both well known and those still to be discovered, the band were at the top of their game tonight. You could hear the precision and the energy bolstered by the pure adrenaline that was running through the songs! ‘Rise Up’, ‘Dead and Gone’,’Unspoken’ and new song ‘I’m Gonna Ride’ were just a small glimpse of highlights. In all honesty, every song, every chord, every note sung tonight was the best it has been in a long time.
The crowd loved every minute, and if there were any doubters or new fans in the audience tonight, by the final note of ‘Helter Skelter’ they had just discovered their new favourite band.
With triple dates to come in the Californian hot sun, it’s safe to say, The Dead Daisies are already on fire before they get there!
