LIGHT UP THE CAPITAL

2024.09.21-LONDON-119

It has been one of the longest UK tours in some time and tonight it was time to draw the curtain on the first UK tour with John Corabi fronting the band since 2018.

Having arrived in London during the early hours after the Bristol show, the band got to the venue refreshed and ready to go. Tonight it was the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, 7.30pm and the band were ready to do it once more. The crowd both inside and hanging outside of the venue was growing busier and busier with the usual trend of last minute ticket buyers.

As the clock struck 9, it was time. The lights went down and the band made their way from the dressing room to the stage. When the intro died down, the music kicked off and The Dead Daisies lit the fuse and continued to burn on fire for the next two hours.

The set is like a fuel injected engine of a racing car. It is precise, on time and constant. From the new songs like ‘I’m Gonna Ride’ through to the Holy Ground era songs and on to long term favourites like ‘Mexico’, the band enjoy a London crowd who are loving being here and witness all five members of the group set the stage on fire with their ferocious musicianship and their youthful enthusiasm.

After such an explosive performance to end the tour, the band will need those few weeks off to recharge and be ready to hit Europe in November. Get your tickets for Europe now.
