After a well deserved day off after three straight shows on the south coast over the weekend, the band headed to Manchester where they could enjoy a night away from the stage.
With the batteries well and truly charged, they headed off on Tuesday for the Picturedrome in Holmfirth, which sits in the heart of Yorkshire surrounded by hills and forests. The show is sold out, and the amount of rockers, young and old hanging outside the venue was a telling sign of just how jam packed it was going to be.
The volume of the crowd even before a guitar chord was struck was ear shattering and the noise when the band exploded on stage just about took the roof off!
The band is a well oiled machine now they have three quick shows under their belt. Like a fine tuned motorcycle engine thanks to the colossal rhythm of Tommy Clufetos on drums and Michael Devin on bass complemented by the guitars of Doug Aldrich and David Lowy which act like pistons, making the whole machine growl, as John Corabi sits proud on top, riding it as hard and as fast as he can!
As with all shows, favourites like ‘Midnight Moses’, ‘Long Way to Go’ and ‘Rise Up’ ripped up the stage with ‘Born to Fly’ and ‘Unspoken’ given a new lease of life with Corabis’ voice. On Wednesday, the band cross the border as an even louder Scottish audience awaits their arrival!
