GOD SAVE AND ROCK THE QUEEN

Getting back on-stage at a festival felt amazing, and it’s been a while since the band have taken up top billing! Tonight they were headlining the God Save the Queen Festival at the Stade Municipale in Penmarch on the western coast of France.

Everyone was raring to go and hit the stage with an almighty roar! The backing track sounded setting up the atmosphere, then Lowy and Aldrich started to rev up their guitars with the opening chords and riff to ‘Long Way To Go’ and immersing themselves into a set packed full of punches. ‘Unspoken’, ‘Holy Ground’ and ‘Bustle and Flow’ rocked the festival crowd as Brian Tichy kept the rhythm pulsating throughout and Glenn prowled the stage like a man possessed, holding down the bottom line with his bass thumping like a prize fighter!

With songs like the new single ‘Radiance’ bursting from the stage, the infectious ‘Like No Other’ with its dance floor charm and some Deep Purple classics like ‘Burn’ put firmly into the set, it was no wonder the crowd were loving every minute of this triumphant takeover by the headline band. The Dead Daisies are burning up stages and you need to see them as soon as you can! Next up is Munich with Judas Priest!
