FLYING HIGH AGAIN

As the band headed for their second stop of this tour, they entered the airspace of Switzerland complete with the highest mountains in Europe. The next show was in Lausanne at Les Docks. Lausanne sits on Lake Geneva between Geneva and Montreux.

After spending a day wandering around and exploring the city on some rare time off, the band prepared to get back to business and made their way to the Les Docks venue, now celebrating its 20th year.

As the lights dim and the crowd cheered, the guitar riff to ‘Long Way to Go’ rang out and before long the full stack of twin guitars, bass and drums exploded from the stage.

The set was full of Daisies classics like ‘Rise Up’ and ‘Make Some Noise’ with favourite covers like ‘Fortunate Son’ and ‘Helter Skelter’, but there were new additions to this years set, including a great track from the Make Some Noise album ‘Last Time I Saw the Sun’, the new single ‘Crossroads’ from the forthcoming blues album and the last single from the Light Em Up album ‘Love That’ll Never Be’ which is stripped back with John on the acoustic.

There is no doubt the Swiss fans loved the show and were sad to see it all come to an end after Helter, but they are also ready to come back when The Dead Daisies come to Switzerland again!
