After two days of rest spent in the Welsh capital, the band were ready to kick off the final leg of this UK tour.
With homegrown heroes Scarlet Rebels opening up just before The Daisies, it set the crowd up nicely to go wild when the band hit the stage.
And go crazy they did as ‘Long Way to Go’ exploded out of the speakers! The level of noise from both the band and crowd was off the scale! Smiles all round from John and the band, delighted at the Welsh audience’s reaction, who were like a hoard of their national beast, the red dragon, with their arms in the air like wings and their enthusiastic screams like projectile fire!
With songs like ‘Rise Up’, ‘Light ‘Em Up’ and ‘Resurrected’ blasting from the stage, it all was heating up to be the hottest night yet! Doug and David walked the stage from side to side like they were guarding their fortress as Michael and Tommy provided that deep, belly aching rumble to under pin the cauldron of guitars, while John took centre stage like the head vampire looking for his kill!
The Tramshed in Cardiff went off tonight in big gloriously loud explosions of melodic noise. The band were in form like a possessed beast, while the Welsh crowd were in a trance and immersed by the continuous waves of music. It will take a while to climb down from such a high, but they will, just in time for London!
