Three shows in a row can be pretty tiring for the band, but the positives are that they are usually burning on all cylinders with the finish line in sight, so if you ever catch one of these gigs you find that little bit extra in the tank as the band burst on stage.
This is the first time The Dead Daisies have played The Boiler Shop in Newcastle and it won’t be the last as a near capacity crowd poured into the venue to catch the band live.
The set may be well rehearsed and sound as big as the Angel of the North (famous local landmark), but every night there are subtle, unique differences that only those at every show can spot. John is like a comedian on tour, he finds fun and laughter in all situations, and tonight his on-stage presence is geared towards the Newcastle crowd, and they love it!
John has let everyone know that next year, the band will release a blues album and ‘I’m Ready’, a Muddy Waters classic is played by The Daisies in their very own unique style complete with a Doug Aldrich blues drenched solo and a Michael Devin harmonica solo.
The band continue to hit all the high notes and please the fans with ‘Mexico’, ‘Midnight Moses’ and ‘Long Way to Go’ among many other favourites, and they leave the gig with a huge smile. Time to head to Manchester next!
