ALREET NEWCASTLE, LETS ROCK

Arriving in the early hours of Friday in the home of the Geordies, Newcastle welcomed the band back with open arms. New venue NX, formerly O2, was ready for a Friday Rock Show.

Third show in and the band are warming up with the help of the audience and the weather. Once the intro tape of ‘Rock And Roll’ did its job, The Dead Daisies swaggered onto the stage and launched into the show.

There is a deep and wide range of a musical catalogue that has been built up by the band over the last 13 years, and tonight they plugged in to some of those tracks including covers they have made their own and songs from the last two albums including ‘Light Em Up’ from the album of the same name and ‘Black Betty’ from ‘Lookin’ For Trouble’.

The rhythm section of Michael Devlin and Tommy Clufetos is working like a finely tuned machine giving plenty of freedom for Doug and David to fire their guitars while Corabi takes control of the venue.

Newcastle is always a favourite stop for The Dead Daisies, and after another triumphant night, the locals made sure to let the band know they loved it both with loud cheers and the odd few waiting outside the venue hoping to catch a glimpse of the band. Next is Wolverhampton which has sold out.
