We recently flew Nights with Alice Cooper contest winner Alice Goines and her husband James from Medina, Ohio to Sand Diego, California to see The Dead Daisies play their last show on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar tour and stay at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. We asked her to share her experience on our website:
It was a quite an adventure from beginning to end!!! We can’t thank you guys enough! We definitely got the VIP treatment! Our first impression was the limo ride to the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego — high class! The hotel, the room, the staff — everything was perfect! We totally enjoyed the gas lamp district and the harbor area, we took the ferry over to Coronado and hit the beach. San Diego is beautiful! Neither of us had ever been there before, so we had lots to explore in two days!
Danny and Mia were outstanding young people! They immediately made us feel welcome and their enthusiasm and energy are contagious! It is obvious they love their jobs! They hooked us up with t-shirts, Cd’s, posters, and drumsticks. Finally it was time to go meet the band–we were so excited! The guys in the band are as charming in person as they are in their video clips on their website. When it was time for the concert (Rockstar Energy Uproar), they told us we could see it from the stage if we wanted! The concert was phenomenal!!! What a performance! The music, the showmanship, the energy — these guys are the total package, amazing artists! They took time to make eye contact with us on the side during the concert and pose for pics — added so much to the whole experience!
We were a little nervous about riding back to the hotel on the tour bus, wondering what kind of conversation we could come up with, but they put us right at ease; so warm and friendly and took an interest in finding out about us as well as sharing stories and answering questions we had. I’m sure they were exhausted, but they were gracious hosts and didn’t seem to mind us intruding on their privacy. They even shared their Coldcock Whiskey with us David the band’s manager, Katarina, the two Bobby’s, Tommy, and Pat were also friendly and sociable.
The whole weekend was fabulous, a once-in-a-lifetime rock star experience that we’ll never forget!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
