THE DAISIES TO RELEASE REVOLUCIÓN ON JULY 31 ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES WITH WHITESNAKE ON THEIR PURPLE TOUR

The Daisies are proud to announce the U.S. release of their new album, Revolución on July 31, 2015. The Daisies will return to the States this summer to promote it when they join Whitesnake/David Coverdale for part of their current Purple Tour during July and August. A full list of tour dates can be found below.

The Daisies just finished an impressive European tour with KISS on their 40th Anniversary Tour. Along the way, they left a pile of fans in their wake with monster sets at the largest festivals in Europe including Download Festival (UK), Rockavaria (Germany), Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and more. Kerrang! was on hand and observed, “Sunday morning at Donington Park is rarely the most energetic of moments but The Dead Daisies’ all-star cast do a sterling job of banishing hangovers with slick-as-a-Vaselined-otter classic rock.”

Witness the massive crowds and extensive video footage at the band’s website.

“We destroyed Europe,” proclaims singer John Corabi. “It’s awesome, we are bringing the Revolución back to the United States, our home country and we can’t wait to tour with Whitesnake.” Bassist and former Whitesnake member Marco Mendoza agrees, “This summer will be a blast with Whitesnake – it will be really cool hanging with David (Coverdale) and the boys again.” The Dead Daisies will also be joining Whitesnake in Europe this November.

Back in February 2015, the Daisies got the chance to play some Rock ‘n’ Roll in Cuba and it proved a revelation. The revelation became a revolution as the boys started conceiving their next album. The passion they’d experienced in Cuba was confirmation – the world needs to be reminded that classic rock is alive and kicking – and with the new album, and new singer John Corabi (Motley CrueRATT), The Dead Daisies were going to deliver just that, an album of classic rock Revolución! They even found time to record tracks for Revolución at Abdala recording studios with producer Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Sevendust), who accompanied them on the journey.

Revolución features bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), keyboard player Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses), guitarist David Lowy (MINK, Red Phoenix), lead guitarist Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses, The Psychedelic Furs), John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, RATT) on vocals, Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol) on drums and additional drumming from Jackie James Barnes who is the son of Scottish born Australian singer Jimmy Barnes – Official. Also included on the album is Cuban musician Yaimi Karell Lay on percussion. The U.S. digital release of Revolución will contain two exclusive bonus tracks.

The first single from the album is “Mexico” and now there is a Paul Boyd directed video, shot in the infamous JUMBO’S CLOWN ROOM neo-burlesque club in Los Angeles.

The entire Cuban adventure has also been made into a short film and photo e-book to be released around the album. Both, also titled Revolución, were shot by Katarina Benzova Photography and Cuban videographer Karel Renzoly Green and the short film was edited by filmmaker Kenn Michael and produced by music and film producer Danny Saber. The Dead Daisies are a powerful musical collective created by a rotating line-up that features some of the world’s best rock musicians. Influenced by 70’s and early 80’s hard rock, The Daisies’ sound is soulful and accessible – equal parts The Faces, Bad Company and Foreigner: muscular vocals, bluesy riffs, big choruses, powerful melodies and strong hooks. Whether it was inspired by Elvis or The Beatles, Led Zeppelin or Jimi Hendrix, it always started with the music, and that’s what The Dead Daisies are all about. With stellar musicianship and pulverising live shows, fans across the globe are discovering the band that is bringing back Rock ‘n’ Roll!

Whitesnake was formed in England in 1978 by David Coverdale. The band has released multi-platinum selling albums throughout the years and been known for hits such as “Slide It In,” “Here I Go Again,” “Still Of The Night” and “Is This Love.” Whitesnake will hit the road this summer on a headlining world tour to support their 12th studio album. The Purple Album is a re-imagination of classic songs from David Coverdale’s time as lead singer for Deep Purple’s Mark 3 and Mark 4 albums. For more information and ticket links click HERE.
