THE DEAD DAISIES FINISH TOUR AND WATCH

THE DEBUT ALBUM RISE ON THE CHARTS!

After nearly a month of touring and recording in Australia, Mulwala pulled down the final curtain for the first leg of 2014 shows for a band that is becoming something of a phenomena in Australian rock music. The Dead Daisies have trail blazed through their highly successful album tour with their last four shows exploding to packed houses in Launceston, Hobart, Albury and Mulwala.

A hugely credible first full tour of Australia has seen them add many new fans as well as a new member in drummer John Tempesta. “This was just the greatest fun with a bunch of awesome guys, I hope to be back behind the drum stool soon for The Dead Daisies”.

Founding members Jon Stevens and David Lowy were also delighted with their first proper trek around Australia with the opportunity to show their ever-increasing loyal fan base that The Dead Daisies are a force to be reckoned with!

I had such a great time this past month in Australia playing with The Dead Daisies

What a great bunch of guys! The shows were awesome and just kept getting better and better…There was a so much energy on stage! I’m really excited to hear the new songs we recorded. It was very cool experience for me to record with such great musicians!

Thanks to all the great Aussie fans who came out and supported the band

I hope to see you all again very soon!” – John Tempesta

“It was really interesting to see different parts of Australia and to tour around more intimate venues.  Get up close and personal to the fans. It’s enlightening to see the following that Jon has back here… to play the music; it was an absolute blast again.

No denying we are supposed to do music, because we went into the studio like a well-oiled machine and the magic started happening instantly. We’d love to have the opportunity to do it again soon. The sooner the better, the vibe is there.

Something happens when you’re on the road together and playing together. I’ve always been a fan of writing and recording when on tour because you just lock in together.

Next weekend I’ll be working with Neal Schon from Journey in San Francisco at Fantasy Studios, then I’ll be in Frankfurt Germany for the music Mezze the following week, and finishing off some work with Deloris O’Riordan from the cranberries.“ – Marco Mendoza

“This tour was great.  As long as I have been touring the world, I have never played the legendary pub scene in Australia. It was everything and more than I expected. I can see where it would have been very unpleasant to do it with a lesser band!  Fantastic audiences and some great venues.

Writing with this band comes so quickly and organically. Nobody is too precious with the songs and everything just flows very naturally. Recording has been a blast and I can’t wait to do more. We work so quickly together.

I’m flying to LA now to do a week of Gn’R rehearsals and then we head to South America for a month. Then I’ll be off for a couple of weeks before heading to do a residency for a month at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. Hopefully after that, I will be focusing primarily on the Dead Daisies.

Thanks to all the fans here in Australia for their support. It’s really exciting to be a part of such a great group and to be winning over fans with every gig. It’s awesome to watch how quickly this band is catching on!” – Richard Fortus

With the musical chemistry going electric on stage, capturing that energy in the studio was easy too. Look out for new material in the next few months from the band.

So what next? More new music and more dates around the globe. Keep up to date with the bands website at www.thedeaddaisies.com
